Getting Started

Content centre

This section allows you to manage your Portal Notifications (or PNS) and your subscriptions/bookmarks. It is visible once you have logged in:

Notifications

Under Notifications, you see all the messages that have been sent to you. The red number near the bell  icon on the right indicates the amount of unread notifications. When you click on it, you can see the last notifications received. You can also click on Notifications on the left to access that same screen.

Click on Manage notifications to see all notifications.

The notifications appear grouped under two tabs to ensure easy navigation between the different notifications :

  • Under Generic, you find all the messages you receive from the different processes managed in the Portal, such as messages for validating data for a registered organisation, request to submit reports for your project, reminders to submit your proposal, assignment of a role etc.
  • Under Subscriptions, you find all messages informing of changes / updates in the pages where you have clicked on the Subscribed button (see Subscriptions below for more details). You can not manage your subscriptions from this tab, but just retrieve the notifications sent to you by your subscribed items.

In both cases, an email will be also sent to your registered EU Login account. The preferences button allows you to set the frequency and manner in which you will receive these emails:

  1. Set the frequency for the priority level normal (priority level High is automatically set to asap) to asap (as soon as possible), daily or weekly.
  2. Click on Save

The buttons   allow you to further manage your notifications, like you normally manage your email inbox. You could e.g.:

  1. mark it as read,
  2. or as unread,
  3. or delete it.

You also have the possibility to filter your notifications by searching keywords and order the list by the date or subject.

Subscriptions

This option is available in different areas: call for proposals, organisations, project & results, FAQs and person profiles public to the portal. After choosing an area, you can Subscribe/Unsubscribe to different objects within the relevant area. With this functionality you can track the changes on existing objects. When there are new updates to those items you have subscribed, you will receive notifications.

When you subscribe to an item, you get a notification and an additional button to manage your notifications appears. You can configure the subscription for this object, enable or disable the notifications. Every time you enable or disable a notification, you'll receive an email about this event.

All this information is also available by choosing this option from the personalised menu, then the subscriptions to different objects appear. Counters in the different tabs refer to actual subscriptions, showing the number of objects you have subscribed to. You get a notification whenever changes arrive to the different topics..

Selecting the desired area and then pressing on three dots, it is possible to Enable/Disable notifications or Delete the subscription.

Bookmarks

This option is available in different areas: call for proposals, call for tenders, organisations, project & results, FAQs, news and person profiles public to the portal. After choosing an area, you have the possibility to bookmark different pages, keep them in your separate saved place and then go back to them afterwards.

In case of bookmarks, no email will be sent to your registered EU Login account.

Choosing this option from the personalised menu, selecting the desired area and then pressing on three dots, it is possible to Delete the bookmark. No possibility to enable any notification, as you are not notified about any change,

Saved searches

This option gives the possibility to save some searching conditions and every time you go back to the portal, instead of typing again all search criteria, now you can navigate and select one of the saved searches in your own area. You can track the changes for new incoming records or for existing ones. It is available in case of call for proposals, call for tenders, organisations, project & results, FAQs and person profiles public to the portal.

After choosing an area, in the Saved searches dropdown list, you can select an already saved criteria.

Selecting one saved search from the dropdown list, the selected search criteria is restored and showed. You can switch between the different  saved searches and also come back to the page before the configuration of first criteria. For the saved searches you can also enable notifications, which means if something has been published to the portal that impacts the relevant saved search, you will get notified.

You can change an already selected position by pressing on Save. This will be shown afterwards in the dropdown list. Whenever a search criteria change will come to the system, you will get a notification and the content of this list will be changed.

You can also create new one with a new name, it will become available in the section.

Choosing this option from the personalised menu, selecting the desired area and then pressing on three dots, it is possible to Enable/Disable notifications, Delete or Rename the saved search.
